Like many University Libraries, the University of Maryland Libraries face multiple challenges in the effort to build and maintain collections and provide access to the resources needed to support the institutional research and teaching mission.
The collection budget at UMCP, like many other institutions, has failed to keep up with the rising costs of the information marketplace. One result of these budgetary constraints is that the Libraries' subscription to Phase Equilibria Diagrams Online will not be renewed. Access to the database will end March 31, 2017.
Alternatives to Phase Equilibria Diagrams Online include the following resources:
Books - search the UMD Libraries' catalog using the terms such as binary phase diagram*, phase equilibrium, phase equilibria, phase transitions, phase transformations. Selected books are listed below:
- ASM Handbook - v. 3 Phase diagrams
- Binary alloy phase diagrams
- Constitution of binary alloys
- Desk handbook : phase diagrams for binary alloys
- Handbook of ternary alloy phase diagrams
- Pearson's handbook of crystallographic data for intermetallic phases
- Phase diagrams for ceramists
