Like many University Libraries, the University of Maryland Libraries face multiple challenges in the effort to build and maintain collections and provide access to the resources needed to support their institutional research and teaching mission.
The collection budget at UMCP, like many other institutions, has failed to keep up with the rising costs of the information marketplace. One result of these budgetary constraints is that the Libraries' subscription to AGRICOLA will not be renewed. Access to the database will end June 30, 2016.
AGRICOLA database can be searched for free on the National Agricultural Library's catalog. If you need to acces a book or full text of any article, search the UMD Libraries' Worldcat and UBorrow catalogs.
