Hello,

Unfortunately, this is not currently an option in WorldCat UMD (although we are requesting that the WorldCat database provider make this available in the future).

In the meantime, there are two ways you can search by DOI number.

1. Using the Citation Finder, you can find articles that are available in WorldCat Discovery.

(Here's how to find Citation Finder from the Libraries' home page, http://www.lib.umd.edu/. Hover over "Find and Cite" toward the top of the page, then on the right side of the menu that comes up, under "Tools and Guides," click "Citation Finder." )

Once on this site, use the drop-down box by Identifier and change from ISSN to DOI. See below:

2. Another way to search by DOI is by going to this page: https://dx.doi.org/. Once there, input the number of the DOI into the search box and click Go:

Please note: if you are off-campus and you use this DOI search, you will need to use the Reload Button to make sure that you can get access to the article. See this page for more information on the Reload Button.

Thank you for using AskUs!

  1. This is an extraordinarily helpful page for UMD researchers. It allows people to search by a number of identifiers, including DOI:

I hope UMD keeps this link up and running and makes finding it even easier.
