Log into your ILL Services account here:

On the left side of the page, click on Checked Out Items.  Then click on the six-digit Transaction Number for the item you would like to renew.  This will open up the request. 

If the lending library permits renewal requests, the option to Request Renewal will appear above the transaction information. Click on it.

One of the following responses will then display depending on your circumstances: 

A.  You have successfully placed a request for a renewal. You will receive an e-mail with the lending library’s response to this request.

     If your request is approved, you will be notified via email of the new due date

     If your request is denied, you will be asked via email to return the item to an appropriate service location ASAP (for full list of ILL pickup/return location click here).

B.   The item can only be renewed between certain dates. 

      In this case you will need to wait until the specified time frame to make the renewal request. 

       If the renewal period has passed, you are no longer able to request a renewal. Please return it ASAP.

Emails confirming or denying renewals should be received within a few business days.  

Please keep in mind that not all ILL items are eligible for renewals and that renewals are not granted by our ILL Staff.  It is up to the lending library to grant or deny your request, and not all lending libraries permit renewals.
