Hello,

There are two things to keep in mind when directing students to resources in the Libraries' subscription databases: be sure that (1) you have the permalink to the resource (the URL at the top of the browser is frequently session specific) and (2) you are routing them through our proxy server so your students can login with their directory ID and password that will authenticate them as UMD users.

The Libraries have put together a guide that covers most of the details for getting these links set up correctly. Please keep that handy for future reference, especially the "Finding Permalinks" and "Tools for creating Proxy Links" tabs.

In this case, I was able to access the video, click "see more details" just under the title, and then click "Embed/Link."  That provides you with this permalink, which in this case already includes the proxy server information.  You can put that link on your ELMS page where students can click it, login, and then go directly to the video.

There is also an option to embed the video player within a website, but that can be trickier, so hopefully the link will be sufficient (just let us know if it's not).
