Q. How do I search by call number? The older system allowed such searches; why does not the new system?

At this time, call number searches can only be conducted in the Classic Catalog. You can go there from the Libraries' homepage. Switch the search there from WorldCat by clicking on the radio button beside Classic Catalog; then click on Classic Catalog link just below the right of the search box.

Last, on the next page under "choose type of search," change "word/s anywhere" to "call number," and then enter the call number you wish to search. 

We are currently testing call number searches within WorldCat UMD. Once local call number searching has been implemented, we will update our WorldCat UMD LibGuide with instructions on utilizing that feature.
