UMD students, faculty, and staff can request a scanned copy of an article or book chapter that the Libraries have in hard copy through Scan & Deliver. You may request up to one article per journal issue, or one chapter per book.
To use this service, log in to your ILL Services Account through the link under Useful Links on the Libraries' homepage, and complete the Request Scan & Deliver form, providing full citation information.
Interlibrary Loan staff will then scan the article or chapter and notify you via email when the article is ready for download, usually within 3 business days. If the journal or book in question is not on the shelf, your request will be referred to Interlibrary Loan, which in most cases will email you a full-text PDF copy within a week.
