Hello,

The general public does not have the same privileges as current UMD faculty and students.  However, anyone can use our materials in the University Libraries at no charge during regular library hours (excludes Late Night Study).  To check out books, you can join the Community Borrowers Program.

Visitors can use public computers by getting a guest account at the service desk in any of the University's eight libraries.  However, visitors can only access wireless on campus if they are affiliated with a school that subscribes to eduroam. They cannot access online resources (like databases) while off-campus.

Go here to see more information for visitors to the Library.
