If you are not affiliated with UMD or any other State of Maryland (USMAI) university and want to check out a book, the Libraries offer a Community Borrower program.
If you are affiliated with a university or library outside the MD system that does not have the book in question, ask the Interlibrary Loan unit there if it can borrow the book for you.
