Hello,

Due to publisher restrictions, people who are not affiliated with the University of Maryland cannot access our online resources from off-campus. If you want to use our databases, you must come into the library to access them.

If you visit the University of Maryland and wish to access our physical collections, please see our Information for Visitors page. Any member of the public can visit our collections whenever the Libraries are open.

The public CAN also search the Libraries' catalog on- or off-campus by going to the Libraries' homepage and typing into the search box in the middle of the page keywords, authors' names, or titles, and then hitting Enter or Search.

UMD Libraries also offer a Community Borrowers program that allows Maryland residents and also non-residents to check out up to 25 books at a time. For MD residents, the fee is $50 per year; for non-residents, $100.
