Hello,

Access to databases off-campus is only available to current UMD students, faculty, staff, and research affiliates and retired faculty/staff. Access cannot be purchased (without taking a course), even by alumni. Access to nearly all of the Libraries' databases is still available through the Dell public computers at any of our Six Locations. Please see our Information for Visitors page for more information.

Note: there are a few resources that can only be accessed by UMD students, faculty, staff, and research affiliates, as they require authentication with a Directory ID and password even when on campus.  A few of these are:

  • Chem BioDraw Ultra
  • EBL (EBooks)
  • Factiva
  • SciFinder Scholar
