Q. How do I get a PDF copy of a PhD dissertation held by other WorldCat Libraries?

For dissertations, try searching ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global first.  PDF versions of many dissertations and theses from around the world can be accessed through this database. "Full text" is available from 1997 to the present.

If the dissertation for which you are looking is not found there, you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request using the Request Item through Interlibrary Loan button in WorldCatUMD, or by submitting a request through your ILL Services Account. 

Be sure to include a note that you would like a PDF copy in the Special Instructions field, and ILL staff will do their best to accommodate your format preference.
