The University of Maryland Libraries do not have a formal volunteer program. Some departments do have volunteering opportunities, however, and the best person to contact for more information is the UMD Libraries' Associate Director of Development, Mary Dulaney (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Many public libraries have multiple volunteer programs, including Prince George's County Memorial Library System (more information here) and Montgomery County Public Libraries (more information here).
