The UMD Libraries subscribe to many journals and databases that support research on different kinds of literature. Our English-language literature subject specialist has developed a list of some of the best sources, along with some tips on how to search within them, Please go here to see this subject guide. If you are looking specifically for newer articles, you can narrow your search by the date published within each database.

If you are looking for literature in languages other than English, you might try contacting one of our subject specialists. Their specialties and contact information are listed here

One database that covers many languages and literatures is MLA International Bibliography. To access this database, go to the Libraries' homepage, click on the Find Databases tab over the search box in the middle, type "MLA" in the search box, and then hit Search or Enter.
