Hello,

Yes, McKeldin Library does have a lactation room for nursing mothers: it is available for UMD faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

To use the room, stop by the 1st floor Library Services Desk with your photo ID to check out the key.

Use of the room is first-come, first-serve. No prior registration or reservations are required or accepted.

There's no time limit on use of the room, but please be considerate of others who may be waiting.

The room is private and lockable, and includes chairs, a desk, and a refrigerator. Place the "Room in Use" sign on the door to ensure your privacy, and remove it when you leave. Please label all bottles or other items (name and date) stored in the refrigerator.

Return the key to the 1st floor Library Services Desk when you are finished.
