Like many University Libraries, the University of Maryland Libraries face multiple challenges in the effort to build and maintain collections and provide access to the resources needed to support their institutional research and teaching mission.

The collection budget at UMCP, like many other institutions, has failed to keep up with the rising costs of the information marketplace. One result of these budgetary constraints is that the Libraries' subscription to Digital Scholar Lab, which was available as a pilot through the BTAA, will not be continued. Access to Digital Scholar Lab ended October 31, 2020.

The Statistical Consulting Service of the Research Commons (https://www.lib.umd.edu/rc/statistical-consultinglib-rc@umd.edu) is available to assist with resources for those needing data for research.
