First, make sure the article isn't available online through the Libraries using the Citation Linker.  You will be asked to log in with your directory ID and password (when off-campus). 

That will take you to the Find It window, which will indicate whether the article is available online, in the catalog (i.e. we have a hard copy in the library), or if you need to request a scanned copy of it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). 

Faculty, staff, and students can request scanned copies of articles we have in hard copy through Scan & Deliver.

Also, try to google the title of the article (adding the author's last name if the title is common), as some authors or schools post the full-text of articles on freely available websites.  This may be the fastest way to access the full-text, but it is not always successful.
