Q. Why was I billed twice for not returning this book?

Fines are not removed from your Bursar account once you have paid them, nor are they removed when a Billing Supervisor has voided them. Instead, the fine will remain as a charge, and the same amount will be credited back to you, showing as a credit on your account.  

At first glance, it may look like you have been billed twice, but this is not the case unless two identical charges appear on your account (rather than one charge and one credit).
