Hello,

WorldCat UMD allows patrons to limit searches to a particular language by using the language facets on the left after their search is executed or by using the language limiter provided on the Advanced Search page.

To retrieve titles on language alone, use the search label "ln:" in the WorldCat UMD search box, as in “ln:italian”.

Set the Library limit to University of Maryland, College Park, if you only want titles from UMD collections in your chosen language.  Otherwise, you will retrieve resources in the language you designated even if they are not owned by UMD.

It is also possible to search by language in the "Classic Catalog."  Just select the "Classic Catalog" radio button above the search box on the Libraries' homepage. Once you're in the catalog, click on "Advanced Search," and then go to the "language" box and select the language you prefer.
