Usually starting with the third week of the Fall and Spring semesters, McKeldin Library is open to holders of valid UMD ID cards for Late Night Study from 11 pm to 8 am. Additionally, users from USMAI, Big Ten, and Maryland community colleges may also remain inside the building during Late Night Study. Our goal is to provide a safe and quiet study space for UMD students and other affiliates.
A calendar that includes Late Night Study hours, when in operation, is posted on the Libraries' homepage. Please see the Late Night Study page for more information about the categories of users who may use Late Night and the required forms of ID they must present in order to stay in McKeldin after 11pm.
