Hello,

Thank you for the question. All schools in the University of Maryland system are able to use Sharestream on ELMS. You can access videos assigned for your class from any computer and not just those in the Libraries.

First, log in to ELMS (elms.umd.edu) and select the course for which you have the assigned video. Please request the video in the Course Reserves tab (directions) and set up the Streaming Media Module (module directions). If you request a film not currently available at our library, we will try to purchase it. There is no extra step needed for unowned films. Click on the link to sharestream module to ensure the connection to our servers.

Then, the film will be processed and placed in your course. Thank you for using AskUs!
