Hello,

Most books requested through ILL arrive within 3-5 business days. The loan period is set by the lending library. You can request one renewal, but it will be held as a pending renewal until the lending library approves or denies it. Please keep in mind that a lending library may need to recall an item for their own user which could shorten your loan period.

If you are not granted a renewal and still need the ILL item, we recommend cloning the request by going to "Account History" in your ILL account and clicking the hyperlinked TN number and then clinking "Clone Request". You can do this while you still have the item checked out so that we can begin obtaining another copy for you by the time your current item is due (we recommend starting that process about two weeks before the due date).
