Q. As an alumnus, can I stay in the library after hours to study?

No patrons may stay in UMD Libraries after closing.

During fall and spring semesters, McKeldin offers longer hours as well as Late Night Study. The following users may remain in McKeldin Library during Late Night:

• Current University of Maryland students, staff, and faculty with valid UMD ID
• Current University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) students with photo ID and current UMGC ID registration card
• Current University System of Maryland & Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) students, staff, and faculty with valid USMAI ID*
• Current Big Ten Academic Alliance (Big Ten) students, staff, and faculty with valid Big Ten ID card*
• Current Maryland Community College students with valid college ID 

UMD alumni are not eligible for this service.
